Dr. Kim Trahan, DVM
Dr. Kim Trahan, DVM received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. After her graduation in 1996, Dr. Trahan began to work in private practice at Windham Animal Hospital and also with a variety of animal shelters. At Salem Animal Rescue League, Dr. Trahan started and ran the veterinary program for over 10 years. Currently the Director of Animal Rescue Veterinary Services, she has spayed and neutered over 20,000 pets since the group started in June of 2010.
Dr. Trahan’s professional interests include feral cats, pediatric surgeries, the human-animal bond and pet over-population. While working, the Doctor can often be found with her “assistant” Jack Rat (a rat terrier) in tow.
